At Raiyad Solicitors we cover a number of areas of immigration law. We can provide assistance in a number of applications to the Home Office. This includes:

  • Applications to become British
  • Applications for European Economic Area (EEA) nationals and their family members (whether for permanent residence, registration certificates etc.)
  • Visa applications, including:
    • Student and work experience visas
    • Visit visas (for tourism, or visiting friends/family)
    • Spouse and partner applications, including fiancé(e)s or proposed civil partners
    • Applications for work, business or study under the Points-Based System;
    • Dependent relative and family reunion applications
    • Ancestry visas (if you are a Commonwealth/British Overseas citizen and one of your grandparents was born in the UK before 31 March 1922)
    • Other categories, such as applications on the basis of long residence

For each of the above, we normally charge a fixed fee. This will include:

  • Attendance at appointments
  • Taking instructions and providing specific advice based on your circumstances
  • Considering any documents you provide us
  • Where necessary, helping to obtain further evidence e.g. medical records or bank statements
  • Preparing and submitting the application
  • Advising you on timescales and the likely outcome of your application

Not included in the fees above:

  • Home Office application fees
    • Immigration Health Surcharge
    • Appointment fees with TSL contact for providing biometrics
    • Court fees and lodging an appeal
    • Interpreter fees; an approximate fee for an interpreter is £500.00 – £600.00 for a day, as interpreters usually charge for the whole day if the matter involves a court hearing on an immigration matter. This is because the court will determine when the hearing will take place on the day of the hearing. Otherwise interpreters charge approximately £150.00 for up to 3 hours
    • Counsel (Barrister) fees approximately £1200.00 – £1500.00 depends on the matter and seniority of the Barrister.
  • Disbursements (costs related to your matter which are payable to third parties, such as visa fees or interpreters) may also be required depending on the needs your specific case. This is not included in the fixed fee amount. To make things easier for you, we will handle all disbursements on your behalf.
